These guys know their stuff. I have all German brand appliances that are high end. I won’t just use anyone. All techs are great and my appliances get repaired to my satisfaction. Last visit was for my Miele dishwasher and I must say I’m really glad that Josh camefast to fix because it’s just a pain to be without a dishwasher. (DW wasn’t draining, grrrr). Going off of the 50% rule, unless your fridge is over 50% through its lifespan and repair costs will be over 50% of the cost to purchase a new fridge, it is usually worth it to replace fridge parts instead of replacing the whole thing.

This depends entirely on the type of refrigerator you have, the extent of the damage, and the kind of repairs needed. Sometimes it is cheaper to repair and other times it is cheaper to replace.

It’s best to refer to the 50% rule when deciding if it’s worth it to repair a 10 year old fridge. Typically, 10 years is past that 50% mark of the lifespan, so then it becomes about the repair cost. If the cost to repair is over 50% of the cost to replace, then no, it is not worth it.
