FAQs
Our appliance repair experts are trained to fix all types of gas and electric dryers manufactured by every major appliance brand on the market. Whether you have a stacked, standalone, top-load, or front-load dryer, we can repair it.
Some of the common telltale signs that your dryer needs repair are:
– Unusual sounds like squeaking or grinding
– Dryer is taking too long to dry clothes
– Burning smell when the dryer is in operation
– The dryer won’t turn on
– The dryer is not heating
– The dyer is not spinning
– Dryer is overheating
We don’t recommend continued use until the problem with your dryer is identified and resolved. The longer you prolong repair, the greater chance there is for even more damage. Also, using a dryer that is not functioning properly can be a fire hazard. We recommend contacting a professional technician as soon as you notice an issue with your dryer.
The cost to fix your dryer will depend on what the issue is. We charge $99 for the service call and the cost of the part.
Yes, we offer a 90-day warranty on all parts and labour, giving you peace of mind that our team prioritizes long-term solutions.
The answer will depend on the problem you’re experiencing, the age of your dryer, how frequently it needs to be repaired, and the cost to repair it. Dryer repair costs less than dryer replacement, however, if the repair will cost more than half of what it would cost to buy a new dryer, then it is best to replace it.
Generally, gas and electric dryers have a lifespan of 10 to 13 years. However, the specific lifespan of your dryer will depend on the brand, how frequently you use it, and maintenance.
Maintenance is a big part of how long your dryer will remain in good condition. Things you can do to prolong longevity include:
– Cleaning the lint trap after each cycle. When lint builds up, it reduces the efficiency of your dryer and creates a fire hazard.
– Make sure you inspect the vent hose and exhaust duct from time to time and clean it when needed.
Inspecting the drum regularly and removing any residue.
– Do not overload your dryer. Doing so will put a strain on the motor and reduce its lifespan.
– Scheduling professional maintenance annually so a technician can inspect your dryer and make sure that all parts are working properly.

Yes. All our repair technicians at Appliance Masters Pro are licensed and insured.
It depends. You may be able to fix some minor issues with some basic steps like resetting the circuit breaker, cleaning lint traps, or other minor things. However, proper diagnosis and repair can only be done by qualified appliance technicians. It’s also important to note that if your dryer is still under warranty, trying to fix it yourself may violate the warranty so make sure you check the terms first.
There are a number of reasons why your dryer may not be working. Make sure your dryer is plugged in properly and on. Then check the thermal fuse to see if it shows continuity. If it doesn’t, you will need to call a professional technician for repair.
